It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord. Psalm 92:1.
We are never the beneficiaries of God’s loving kindnesses or His faithfulness because of anything we have done. His mercies are new every morning for us to receive, and for this we need to be intentional about giving thanks. An attitude of gratitude should be our modus operandi, our lifestyle.
My personal reflection of the Lord’s goodness leaves me to ponder sometimes how much He loves me and really, how could He after all that I have done or not done for that matter? It is a temptation to conduct our daily lives and take things for granted. We leave our homes in the mornings and return in the evenings; we retire to bed at nights and awake in the mornings; we experience the blessings of different types of relationships, security, provisions, possessions, and many other things, but if we are not careful, we attribute these to our own doing.
It is a fact that all our blessings come from God, and that He alone is our source that provides all other resources to supply our needs. Let us be mindful that as we continue to live in the goodness of God, we ought to remain thankful to Him.
